Always a Mother, Always a Friend

Mother’s Day Weekend.

Wonderful times with wonderful people.

In case it’s not obvious, I adore my mother. I always have.

What has been neat to watch over the years is, though she will always be ‘Mama,’ how much of a best friend she has become to me.

The Mother’s Day card I got Mama put it perfectly for me.

“Always a Mother…

Someone who cares for you and about you all through your life,

Someone whose guidance you value, concern, you appreciate, love you depend on.

Always a Friend…

Someone to laugh with and share things with,

Someone you can count on to help you, back you up, and never let you down.

Thank you, Mom, for being a wonderful mother

And the very best kind of friend.”

There are always fun times when I’m with her, when our family is together:

Alarm = Off. Sleep In. Poolside. Sunshine. Strawberry Farm. Yorkies. Iced Tea. The Temptations. Swimsuit. Laughter. Loved Ones. Magnolia Blossoms. Bronze Tans. Tomato Basil Sandwiches. Puppy Kisses. Fresh Spring Air. Bouquets. Long Walks. Strawberry Shortcake. Family. Old Photos. Countryside Runs. Wild Honeysuckle. Grilled Steak and Shrimp. Crackling Campfire. Colorful Sunsets.

I love you Mama :)
