Looking full in His Face

So, this blog is a little different. I guess the Lord laid on my heart that a lot of the previous entries have had a lot to do with me. Though the majority of my life is covered in His fingerprints, the Lord has right now placed a ‘divine discontent’ with going on any further with stories of my life, my thoughts, my actions.

Tonight while alone with Him, He really took me back to square one of an awareness of His presence and worship of Who He is.

So this blog contains a few favorite verses from Scripture [ok actually a ridiculously massive amount of verses, just take in what you can :) impossibly difficult to ‘eliminate’ this sort of thing, you understand… ] that really sink you into His presence, right at His feet, a glimpse of His heart, and leave your soul full of worship. A few entries earlier, when I talked about the Lord having me seek His face, I find It right here…

“I will rejoice greatly in the Lord, My soul will exult in my God; for He has clothed me with garments of salvation, He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10

“Hear, O Isreal! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!” Deuteronomy 6:4

“Surely our griefs He Himself bore, and our sorrows He carried… But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth…” Isaiah 53:4,5,7

“Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

“‘Therefore, behold, I will allure her, bring her into the wilderness, and speak kindly to her. And it will come about in that day’ declares the Lord, “That you will call Me Husband and will no longer call me Master.’” Hosea 2:14,16

“And My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” II Chronicles 7:14

“For thus says the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, ‘I dwell on a high and holy place, and also with the contrite and lowly of spirit in order to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.” Isaiah 57:15

“‘Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and you will be careful to observe My ordinances.” Ezekiel 36:26, 27

“Is My hand so short that it cannot ransom? Or have I no power to deliver?” Isaiah 50:2b

“…‘the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, ‘Give thanks to the Lord of hosts. For the Lord is good, For His lovingkindness is everlasting’; and of those who bring a thank offering into the house of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first,’ says the Lord.” Jeremiah 33:11

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior…’” Isaiah 43:1-3

“Where can I go from Thy Spirit? Or where can I flee from Thy presence? If I ascend to heaven, Thou art there; If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, Thou art there. “And you shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, that He might humble you, testing you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. And He humbled you and let you be hungry, and fed you with manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that He might make you understand that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord.” Deuteronomy 8: 2,3

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and freedom to prisoners; to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.
